"The Big House" Macon, GA

I visted the house on Vinesville Road in Macon that was the home of members of the Allman Brothers Band in 1970-1971.At the time of my visit, Kirk West, the longtime Road manager/archivist of the band was living there with his family and efforts were underway to turn the place into a museum. He graciously allowed me to come inside and view the memorabilia he had collected for the museum. A wonderful guy, read more here:http://www.allmanbrothersband.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=533&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0This is one of the interesting items, a $200 advance check to Duane Allman for session work in Muscle Shoals, probably for a song that ended up on the Anthology.(Click for larger image)
The section of Vinesville Rd in the area has been renamed for Duane Allman.
